Position requires the following:

• Licensed Professional Surveyor Registration in Kentucky and Illinois or ability to obtain both within six (6) months.

• Five (5) or more years work experience as a direct supervisor of multiple field survey crews.
• Microstation and/or AutoCAD software.

• Willingness and ability to work as necessary to meet project schedules.
• Ability to relocate to within a forty-five (45) minute drive of the Paudcah office within ninety (90) days following acceptance of an offer for employment.

We are currently seeking outstanding individuals with solid experience to fill the role of Party chief in our Alberta and BC branches. The Party Chief supports operational excellence by taking directions from the Project Manager and providing field survey services by directing a single field crew to complete projects in an accurate, timely and efficient manner to meet contractual obligations. 

Depending on the branch location, Party Chiefs may be required to permanently relocate, or the work may be able to accommodate a rotational schedule.  Relocation and travel assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Job Duties

• Field completion of various types of surveys including well site, right of way, urban, and legal
• Communicate scope and schedule information to team members, set expectations, and ensure project tasks are completed on time.  Delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and supervise team members to complete field work accurately and on time.
• Liaise between Project Manager an client representative
• Manager information flow from field to office and prepare clear, concise and accurate field notes, records and calculations
• Ensure implementation of quality assurance, safety and policy compliance

Requirements

• US applicants must have either a state surveyors license OR a university degree
• Effective communication skills and detail-orientation
• Proven supervisory abilities
• Proficient in computer applications (e.g. Total Station, GPS, Calc Software)
• Experience using chain saws and ATVs
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
