Civil Procedure - 735 ILCS

735 ILCS 5/6-104, 5/6-141 & 5/6-142
These sections are from article 6 of the code of civil procedure entitled “ejectment.” These sections provide that no person may recover in ejectment unless that person has a valid claim in the property. Notice to occupying claimant shall bind all those claiming by or through occupying claimant.

These sections are from article 8 of the civil procedure entitled “evidence.” These sections including surveys may be filed with the court, execution of a deal offered into evidence and evidence of title for tracts of Illinois central railroad company land.

735 ILCS 5/13-101 Through 5/13-122
These sections are from article 13 of the code of civil procedure entitled “limitations.” These sections provide various limitation periods for legal action involving recovery or property, action of mortgages, claims against property among others, and a 4 year statute of limitation against any registered land survey to recover damages in negligence, errors or omissions in making a survey.

These sections are from article 17 of the code of civil procedure entitled “partition.” These sections establish the legal procedure for an action compelling partition of property. These sections include manner of complaint, parties, judgment, appointment of commissions, duty of commissions and land in different counties, among others.

This section of the code of civil procedure is entitled “Eminent Domain Act.” These sections establish eminent domain, procedure, and provisions. These sections list provisions of law that may include express grants of the power to acquire property by condemnation or eminent domain.

735 ILCS 30/20
This section of the civil code only applies to proceedings under this Article that are authorized in this article or in Article 25 of this Act. This section states that a plaintiff may file a motion requesting that that plaintiff may be vested with the fee simple title to real property or a specific portion of that property, and be authorized to take possession of and use the property.
