Liens - 770 ILCS

770 ILCS 60/1 Through 60/39
These sections provide the legal authority for any person who improves a lot, tract of land or structure to file a lien against that property for the value of said improvement. The lien may be against an estate in fee, for life, for years or any other estate or interest in the property. If payment shall not be made when the amount is due then the person holding the lien may enforce the lien through the circuit court where the improvement is located.
