615 ILCS 45/1 Through 45/11
These sections are from the “Illinois and Michigan Canal Development Act.” These sections provide legal authority for the redevelopment of the Illinois and Michigan Canal which the declared abandoned. The Department of Conservation in cooperation with other agencies, shall prepared a master plan for redevelopment and the Department may sell that property through public auction and private sales, grant utility easements, deposit funds from sales in the state park fund, convey property to state, federal and local agencies, retain property necessary for the master plan and provide such drainage, flood control and other improvements as are in the public interest. |
